Anti Semitic Britain?

I enjoy / suffer from most mainline prejudices and routinely make my grown up children wince at my non pc vocabulary
But anti Jewish sentiment has never been part of my make up
Living remote from mainland Britain is this stuff on the news in the Labour Party and generally for real or a media storm?
By the way I don’t regard anti Israel as ant Jewish

I know lots of Jewish people and I like all of them. I don't personally know anybody who is anti-semitic.
The Labour Party is fucked up, which is a shame. Hijacked by fucking lunatics.

Grumpster - he's not 100% anti Jewish, he's anti Isreal.
His links to and support of Palestine is based on the perceived injustices carried out by Isreal.
It's the local councillors in largely Muslim areas that are more likely to be anti Jewish.

You can be critical of Israel and not be anti Semitic. It’s perfectly easy to do so. I would argue that the majority of people in the UK support a two state solution and think the Palestinians should have their own state and freedom.
That’s not the issue here.
The issue is is people proclaiming there’s a Jewish conspiracy. That Jewish money is infesting politics or there’s a secret Jewish cabal. Or the Jews are controlling American.
Then that’s anti Semitic.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission announces today that it is investigating labour and believes it may have broken the law over anti Jewish discrimination.

You might be surprised to hear that I broadly agree with you.
I don't think Corbyn is actually anti-Semitic himself. However, he is passionately anti-Zionist, far more so than a UK politician has any good reason to be.
When taken in conjunction with the Labour Party's assiduous courting of the Muslim vote, some of which is virulently anti-Semitic, it is easy to see how Corbyn's followers are encouraged to cross the line between anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism, particularly when Corbyn clearly deems it more important to continue to placate the Muslim vote rather than stamp out anti-Semitism.

There is almost no racism or anti semitism in the Labour party. Its a complete storm as the rich are totally paranoid they are about to be found out. The rich mostly support the tories.
Loads of Jewish Labour supporters know this is a complete load of bollocks.
Its a bit like criticising blacks or women or hard of learning types or people of cross dressing.

it's more to do with the whole wealth debate and the jewish members of society having more of it than average
the lefties who want socialism don't like people having their own wealth and money earnt etc - a category which jewish people happen to be in through hard work or saving hard.
soon becomes twisted by the lefties that the jewish people are using said money to control government etc
